About Power Source Electrical Services

Charlotte generator specialists since 1996

Our Story

Power Source Electrical Services has served the Charlotte metro area since 1996. We began as electrical contractors and, over the years, grew into the region's generator specialists as more homeowners and businesses looked for dependable backup power. Owners Jackie and Scott Lockwood still run the company hands-on, and that local, owner-led focus shows up in how we treat every job.

Today we are Charlotte's only Generac Power Pro Premier Dealer, a designation held by the top 1% of Generac dealers in the country. We are also the only company in the Charlotte area with Generac Protector Plus certified technicians on staff.

What Makes Us Different

Generator work is electrical work, so we treat it that way. Every installation crew includes a licensed electrician, not just an equipment installer. From your first consultation through final startup, the same salesperson stays with you, so nothing gets lost in a handoff.

• Charlotte's only Generac Premier Dealer (since 2019)
• A licensed electrician on every installation crew
• One point of contact from consultation through startup
• No deposit until your generator is on site
• The price we quote is the price you pay, with no pressure
• Financing options available

Our Certifications and Brands

We are licensed, bonded, and insured, and our technicians are factory-trained. Our team carries Generac's Protector Plus certification, the highest service tier Generac offers.

• Generac Power Pro Premier sales and service (about 80% of what we install)
• Kohler home and commercial standby generators
• Cummins standby generators
• Service and maintenance for any brand of generator, whether we installed it or not

How We Work

1. We start with an in-home consultation and a load assessment, so your system is sized to what you actually need.
2. We handle every permit and schedule the county inspection for you.
3. A typical installation takes about a week from start to finish.
4. We complete the startup, walk you through the system, and set you up for ongoing maintenance.

Service Area

We serve homeowners and businesses throughout the Charlotte metro, including Pineville, Matthews, Huntersville, Concord, and the surrounding communities. Our office is at 10336 Southern Loop Blvd, Pineville, NC 28134, and we offer 24/7, 365-day emergency service across the region.
